i was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. I am scared to death of it and wish i didn’t have it, but since there is nothing i can d about it i need to treat it. Now i am very confused. I do so much research on the internet and i see so many different and scary things. Some say exercise a lot, others say if you exercise too much for diabetic it is dangerous. Others just say things like you can go blind or loose limbs, ETC… I cant imagine any of those things happening and it is really depressing. I dint understand why i cant just take my insulin and that’s it, not worry about dieing and passing out, or going blind..
Also for about 3 weeks now my doctor has had me completely off insulin. She says my pancreas is working but she says it is normal and it is called the honeymoon phase. Ever since i have been off insulin my Sugar has never even gone over 120 as far as i know. it is always in the 80′s90′s or 100-105. Is there any chance i had a infection in my pancreas or something like that and i don’t even have the disease?
overall i need advice and answers. I feel like Living a normal life and not worrying about extremely scary thing such as blindness was just thrown away and gone forever.
